The context

NIS2 applies in Belgium. Their suppliers get asked the same questions.

The EU’s NIS2 directive makes hospitals, municipalities, utilities and many other organisations prove their cybersecurity. In Belgium they do it with the CyberFundamentals (CyFun) framework of the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB). Cyprus, Ireland, Malta and Romania use CyFun as well.

Essential entities must show by 18 April 2027 that they meet their CyFun level. Their customers ask suppliers for the same proof, so small firms outside the law feel it too.

The solution

The IT partner does the work. The platform carries the paperwork.

When a small business has to comply, it asks the company that already runs its IT: its managed service provider (MSP). Easy Cyber Protection gives that MSP a platform to take each client through CyFun, control by control, under the MSP’s own brand.

The MSP does not need to be a compliance specialist. Each control is explained in plain language, with a checklist of the evidence that proves it.

  • Built on CyFun
Basic, Important and Essential levels, in Dutch, French and English
  • White-label
The MSP delivers under its own logo
  • Risk register
Each client’s risks scored and reviewed on a date
  • Staff training

How it works

Six steps from onboarding to audit-ready.

  • 1. MSP signs up
Sets up its own branded workspace and adds its clients.
  • 2. Client assessment
A guided interview settles which CyFun level applies.
  • 3. Controls mapped
The platform lists the controls that level requires, each in plain language.
  • 4. Evidence collection
MSP and client gather the proof, guided by a checklist per control.
  • 5. Progress tracking
One overview shows which controls are done and what comes next.
  • 6. Audit-ready
The evidence sits in one place when the accredited auditor (CAB) comes to verify.

Business model and what we publish

The MSP pays per client and sets its own price.

  • Per client, per month
What the MSP pays us depends on the size of the client. It charges its client what it chooses and keeps the difference.
